2018 Hunan-Yangtze River Delta Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Week

　　The 2018 Hunan-Yangtze River Delta Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Week will be held in the Yangtze River Delta region between July 24 and 27. It is a major economic and trade event hosted by the People’s Government of Hunan Province. The Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce held a preparatory meeting on April 9.

　　The organizing committee announced that five major opening-up activities will be launched; 1. “enhancing the industrial chain via cooperating with global Fortune 500”; 2. “building a new hometown together with the Hunan Chamber of Commerce”; 3. “promoting the ‘go global’ strategy in accord with the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative”; 4. “upgrading the grand platform while collaborating with the free trade zone,”; and, 5. “optimizing the general environment while catching up with Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou”. They are designated to further enhance economic development and trade exchanges and industrial cooperation between Hunan and the Yangtze River Delta region through high-level promotion, industrial promotion, thematic investment, and trade negotiations.

　　A series of conferences will be held in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Kunshan, and elsewhere. Main activities include introducing Hunan advanced industrial chain projects to Shanghai (signing of major projects in the same period). Hunan major industry promotion in Hangzhou, and a national level key industrial parks promotion conference in Nanjing, the opening of a strong province in Hunan and the promotion of key industries in national parks. Many themed investment and introduction activities will also be held, such as a Hunan talent recruiting meeting; the Hunan commercial circulation carriers construction and promotion conference; the Hunan tourism promotion conference; the industrial and financial cooperation matchmaking meeting; the Hunan cultural and creative industrial park construction promotion conference; the Hunan cross-border e-commerce cooperation matchmaking meeting; and, the Hunan-Shanghai targeted poverty alleviation industry matchmaking conference. The cities and prefecture will also organize their own individual and practical activities based on local conditions.
