In Hunan province, it's a custom to eat eggs boiled with shepherd's purse, sometimes added with other stuff, such as red dates, fresh ginger, maple's fruits, etc.

It is also a day for invoking cleansing rituals to prevent disease and get rid of bad luck. The day is also traditionally considered to be a possible birthday of the Yellow Emperor.
