China Private Economy Innovation Development Summit Kicks off in Xiangtan

The China Private Economy Innovation Development Summit was held in Xiangtan on January 1, 2019. Zhou Tienong, National People's Congress Standing Committee former vice chairman and Chinese Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee Central Committee former chairman, attended the summit. Liu Xiaofeng, CPPCC National Committee former vice chairman and Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party (CPWDP) Central Committee former executive vice chairman, announced its opening.

The event was hosted by the Association for Promotion of West China Research and Development (APWCRD). It has attracted thousands of national industrial association representatives, entrepreneurs, and China (Central) Yuetang International Trade City merchants to participate in. Experts and scholars present discussed on such topics as how to activate the private economy development potentials; what can private enterprises do to help economic upgrading and industrial transformation; and, how to promote the common development of the “Belt and Road” central regions.

The China (Central) Yuetang International Trade City was open on the same day. It has a total construction area of 1.8 million square meters, including a professional market area of 800,000 square meters, and more than 15,000 shops. It is a China's "Belt and Road" (Central) Trade and Logistics Industrial Demonstration Base, dedicated to promoting Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, and the "Belt and Road" central regions to join in the “Belt and Road” construction and implementing the “Rise of the Central Region” national strategy and the “Belt and Road” initiative. It was also aimed at promoting the private economy and trade logistics industry progress, regional economic transformation and upgrading, and achieving high quality advancement.
