Hunan to Launch 30 Electronic Information Manufacturing Projects

The Hunan Industry and Information Department announced on January 20 that, 30 key electronic information manufacturing projects will be launched this year. The projects will highlight hi-tech-orientation; exemplary roles; and, good anticipated benefits.

The projects will be oriented to new-generation information technology industries, specifically information security (IS), artificial intelligence (AI), IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor) high-powered devices, new display materials, intelligent terminals, high-end components and parts, and new electronic materials.

The total investment is 82.37 billion CNY, with 27.73 billion planned for 2019, and more than 500 million CNY for each project. Each of the three project investments will be above 10 billion CNY.

Project revenue is anticipated to reach 100 billion CNY. They will strongly support a sound and stable growth of Hunan’s electronic information industry.
