Lantern Festival : celebration in Banliang Village, Hunan

Yongxing County has kept a special traditional celebration in Lantern Festival for more than 1,500 years. The celebration of the festival is divided into three parts: burning incense and lifting dragons, driving ghosts out of houses, and sending dragons into the "sea" , for blessing harvest of the new year, showing their wealth, their great unity, and their civilization nowadays.
