In 2018, Hunan has promoted industrial upgrading and investment in scientific and technological innovation. It has fostered 15 one-hundred-billion industrial clusters in construction machinery, rail transit, new materials, and electronic information. The number of high-tech enterprises increased by 1,400 to 4,660, up 40% from 2017.
