Hunan Enterprises Attend Foodex Japan 2019

　　Hunan specialties, such as lotus seeds and tea, were popular at the 44th International Food and Beverage Exhibition (Foodex Japan 2019). Hunan enterprises gained 109 export orders, worth 9.6 million USD.

　　The Hunan Department of Commerce marked on March 15 that, 11 enterprises across the province, including Xiangtan, Yueyang, Yiyang, and Yongzhou, attended the Foodex Japan 2019 which was held between March 5 and 8 in Chiba, Japan. A number of quality and characteristic products were displayed, such as lotus seeds, tea, camellia oil, and bamboo and wood products.

　　The Foodex Japan is a highly reputed food fair in Asian-Pacific region. The annual event was inaugurated in 1976. It is the world’s third largest food and beverage expo, alongside the famed Anuga FoodTech in Cologne, Germany, and the SIAL Paris, France.

　　Hunan launched a “Hunan enterprises march in global market” initiative in 2019, in a bid to implement the innovation-oriented opening and development strategy. Early this year, Hunan enterprises participated in the 70th International Toy Fair in Nuremberg and the Ambiente Frankfurt 2019 and reaped a sizable harvest.
