Hunan Promotes Aviation and Tourism Industry

　　The Hunan Aviation, Culture and Tourism Coordinated Development Seminar was held on April 4. It announced that “aviation + tourism” resources would be integrated to build Hunan into a world-class cultural destination. The seminar was organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism (HPDCT) and the Hunan Airport Management Group (Hunan Airport).

　　It is said that every year 55% of all airline passengers are in China. The two major industries- aviation and tourism-have entered a new development stage and have complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

　　HPDCT and Hunan Airport will establish a committee to speed up the integration and coordinated development of aviation and tourism resources. It will strengthen airline service products planning, carry out joint marketing and cooperation, and implement a brand strategy for Hunan aviation and cultural tourism.

　　Hunan airport development has been improving quality and efficiency. By the end of this year, there will be 100 aircraft stands at Changsha Huanghua International Airport. Terminal 3 construction will start in 2020. The Zhangjiajie Airport Terminal 2 Airside Concourse B extension and the Huaihua Airport new terminal building will also be launched.

　　To expand "aviation + tourism" products, Huanghua Airport will launch the "Four Frees" (free accommodation, meals, luggage storage, and leisure services) transfer service this May. Passengers on international flights transiting in Changsha and passengers on the Changsha-Zhangjiajie Route can enjoy the service. Huanghua Airport will also cooperate with tourism authorities to provide value-added services for transfer passengers such as “a half-day tour in Changsha” and “one day trip to Shaoshan”.

　　Hunan Airport said it will increase flights from Changsha to key Chinese cities and Southeast Asian countries, make Huanghua Airport the most convenient starting and transit points to Southeast Asia and Zhangjiajie Airport the best tourist airport. Hunan airports will increase connectivity, and provide easy access to all major scenic spots across the province.
