12年前,德国米其林大厨马里奥到中国考察市场,期间,他走过不少城市,最终却选择留在长沙,并在此定居。在这里,他收获了爱情,拥有了自己的餐厅,也用美食结交了很多的朋友。他说,这样的日子每天都是快乐的,长沙已成为了他的家乡。

Twelve years ago, Mario, a German Michelin chef, came to China for inspecting markets. During this period, he went to many cities, and he eventually chose to settle in Changsha. He started his restaurant and his family here, and he has made many friends with his cuisine. He said that he feels happy every day, and Changsha has become his hometown.

研究美食,是他的兴趣,也是他的职业。大部分的时间里,马里奥都会待在自己的餐厅,他享受厨房,更享受把美食带给身边的每一个人。尽管在长沙已经生活了12年,德国人特有的严谨与执着仍然贯穿在他的工作中。为了保证每一份食物的质量,餐厅一天接待的客人会有限定。每天早上,马里奥会穿梭在长沙的大街小巷,菜场集市,寻找他认为最新鲜的食材,时常也会用他的德式中文跟商贩讨价还价,与他们建立长期友好的关系,跟每一位品尝他食物的客人成为朋友。

The unique rigor and persistence of the Germans still run through his work, though he has stayed in Changsha for 12 years. In order to guarantee the quality of each cuisine, the restaurant will have a limited number of guests for one day. Every morning, Mario goes to the market for the freshest ingredients. He chats and bargains with sellers to build friendly relationships with everyone. Customers who taste his food may become his friends.

小而美,是长沙给马里奥最初的印象,十年间,马里奥也见证了长沙的变化。“我爱长沙的文化与发展,我希望融入它的同时,也能带给它不一样的元素。我要用最亲民的价格给客人带来米其林餐厅般的体验,给这座城市带来一些国际化的味道。”
