The opening ceremony of the event kicked off at the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, Changsha on June 10. Students are mainly from the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Baptist University. The activity aims to strengthen friendly exchanges between Hong Kong students and young people from the Chinese mainland, and enhance mutual trust and cooperation in the fields of culture and education. In recent years, with the increasing exchanges between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, young people from the two places have more frequent interaction. For example, the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine launched the “Hong Kong, Macao and the Chinese Mainland Teachers and Students Exchange Program”. Through lectures and internships, the program deepened Hong Kong students’ understanding of Chinese civilization, especially traditional Chinese culture, and promoted the exchange of ideas among young students of the two places.
