Chinese and Russian Performers to Stage a Symphony Concert July 18

  A grand symphony concert will be staged at the Changsha Concert Hall on July 18, 2019, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia diplomatic relations, and the 80th anniversary of the first performance of the Yellow River Cantata.

  The concert will be conducted by Xiao Ming, China’s first-class conductor and the leader of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra, and famous Russian conductor Mr. Dmitry Filatov; and performed by the Changsha Symphony Orchestra and the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra. Famous singers Huang Huali and Zhou Nan, and young singers Wang Yaohong and Li Ming will be the lead singers. Wang Limin, China’s first-class actor, will perform a recitation at the concert.

  Russian famous music, such as "the Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila", "Polovtsian Dances" and "1812 Overture" will be presented in the first half of the concert. In the second half, Guang Weiran and Xian Xinghai's epic music Yellow River Cantata will be performed.
