Changsha's total retail sales of consumer goods reach 243 bln RMB in half-year

The total retail sales of consumer goods in Changsha was 243.408 billion yuan in the first half of the year 2019, with the year-on-year increase of 9.9%, and the growth rate was 1.5 percentage points higher than the national average. In the background of the retail sales growth slowdowns in Hunan province and China, Changsha’s consumption still ran the same growth rate as last year.

In the first half of the year, Changsha's catering industry achieved retail sales of 21.152 billion yuan, with the year-on-year increase of 10.7%, which was 0.8 percentage points higher than the retail industry growth rate. During the May 1st holiday, Changsha received a total of 3.557 million tourists with 3.53 billion yuan of tourism revenue, with the year-on-year growth of 25.18% and 27.01%.
