Air quality in 14 cities of Hunan province remains excellent

According to the information of Hunan Provincial Department of Ecological Environment on August 11, most of the environment monitoring indicators said that the overall environmental quality was improved and remained stable in the first half of this year. The excellent air quality rate was 86.6% of the half-year in 14 cities and prefectures of Hunan province. The increase rate was 1.7%.

According to the monitoring data, in the first half of the year, the average concentration of PM2.5 in 14 cities and prefectures in Hunan province was 43 mg/m3, with 2.4% of uprising year-on-year; the average concentration of PM10 was 60 mg/m3, and it decreased 11.8% year-on-year. The water quality is generally excellent. Among the 345 provincial and above monitoring and evaluation sections, there are 329 water quality sections of I-III, accounting for 95.4%.
