2019 ITF Women’s World Tennis Tour · Changsha (Wangcheng) Station Opens

  On September 2, the 2019 ITF Women’s World Tennis Tour · Changsha (Wangcheng) Station opened grandly at the Changsha Moon Island French Open - Roland Garros Red Clay Court Tennis Park.

  This one-week competition consists of two events: women’s singles and doubles. The qualifying draws were held on September 2 and 3, and the main draws will be held between September 3 and 8. The doubles final will be held on September 7, and the singles final will be held on September 8. The top prize for the competition is 60,000 US dollars.

  The competition has attracted nearly 100 professional players from 26 countries and regions including China, Russia, Australia, France, and Britain. They include Italy’s top tennis player Sara Errani; Serbia’s player Nina Stojanovic; Bulgaria’s player Aleksandrina Naydenova; and, China’s renowned players including Han Xinyun, YOG champion Xu Shilin, and Hunan-born player Zhang Ying.

  The competition is sponsored by the Chinese Tennis Association and Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau; and undertaken by the Hunan Provincial Tennis and Football Sports Management Center, Changsha Municipal Bureau of Sports, the People’s Government of Wangcheng District, and Hunan Red Clay Sports Culture Communication Co., Ltd.

  The competition is open to the public free of charge. People can get tickets at the Changsha Moon Island French Open - Roland Garros Red Clay Court Tennis Park or at No. 20, Tiyuguan Road, Kaifu District, Changsha.
