Beekeeper in China's Hunan benefits from targeted poverty alleviation project

Beekeeper Long Xianlan checks the honeycomb at a nectar source in Shibadong Village, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Miao, and Tujia Autonomous Prefecture, central China's Hunan Province, Sept. 4, 2019. Benefiting from the targeted poverty alleviation project, Long Xianlan, 32, has learned the skills of beekeeping and developed the apiculture based on the given resources and local conditions there. He has founded his own beekeeping company and registered a trademark for his honey product. Long's business has helped 118 beekeepers from his village and surrounding villages get out of poverty.
