The construction of Dongting Lake Bridge is completed, and it will be put into use in the near future. Dongting Lake Bridge is a 1290-meter-long cable-stayed bridge in Hunan Province. It is an important part of Haoji Railway, the largest coal transportation route in China.

Dongting Lake bridge breaks five records among bridge constructions. It is the first and longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge among world's heavy-duty railway bridges,   (main span 2 × 406 meters). Dongting Lake bridge adopts steel box and steel truss composite beam, and it is the first time in the world. Therefore, its construction is very difficult and no experience can be used for reference. In addition, there is also the use of a medium-tower stabilizer on the railway bridge for the first time in China.  And it is the first adopt the method "whole segment erection", "first steel box girder construction, then the steel truss beam construction" and " steel truss beam construction after five internodes erection of steel box girder construction".
