A special “Red Treasures” exhibition opened in the Hunan Geographical Museum on September 28 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. A “Red Gems and Mineral Crystal Cultural Festival” was launched simultaneously.

There are 70 precious red mineral crystals and gems, such as top-level red fluorite, six ornamental red mineral specimens (red coral, morganite, pink calcite, bloodstone, crocoite, and rubellite), and rhodochrosite from U.S.A, Japan, and Argentina. Most of these treasures are on their debuts in Hunan, or even in China or the world.
