Hunan Logistics Enterprises Attend IFPSM World Summit

　　The Hunan Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (HNFLP) recently organized nearly 10 leading logistics enterprises to participate in the 2019 International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) World Summit held in Mombasa, the second-largest city in Kenya.

　　The theme of IFPSM World Summit 2019 is “Sustainable Procurement and Supply Chain Practices for the 21st Century”. Hunan logistics company representatives and lecturers had in-depth discussions on such topics such as “Purchasing Risk and Management Trends”, “Public Procurement Framework and Practice Status”, “International Logistics Management Innovation Trends”, and “Future Purchasing and Supply Chain Economy”.

　　Yin Guojie, HNFLP president, said, “Hunan-African economic and trade exchanges have been continuously strengthened. We organize Hunan logistics enterprises to participate in the summit held in Africa. This is to promote Hunan-Africa cooperation, and let the ‘Hunan Logistics Enterprises’ go global and further expand the international logistics and procurement market.”

　　HNFLP initiated preparation for the “China-Changsha Logistics and Supply Chain Headquarters Base” project construction in the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone. It was supported and participated by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. At this summit, Liu Ping, CPC HNFLP Committee secretary, sent an invitation to African logistics companies and participants present at the summit, and wished them to “Invest in Changsha, Hunan and set up regional logistics and supply chain headquarters in Changsha”. This was to lay the foundation for the next step of project global investment attraction.
