 “薪火为珠，湘风为链”是对株洲非遗文化的精辟概括。截至2018年底，株洲共有市级以上非遗项目92项，其中国家级2项、省级13项、市级73项；有省级代表性传承人4人，市级代表性传承人74人。株洲非遗文化中“火”是少不了的明星，星子灯、客家火龙、打铁水等都是经典代表。让我们一起欣赏一场“火”的视觉盛宴。

"Fire, a key to pass down Hunan culture" is a brilliant summary of Zhuzhou's intangle cultural heritages. By the end of 2018, there were 92 intangle cultural projects. There were 4 provincial-level representative inheritors and 74 representative representatives at the municipal level. The "fire" is an indispensable element of Zhuzhou's intangle cultural heritages such as Iron fireworks and firewire dragon dance.

明末清初，匠人开始将补锅后剩余的铁水打上天际驱邪祈福

In the late Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty, the blacksmith began to use the remaining molten iron as iron fireworks to make the blessings.

这种与烟花有别的“璀璨”开始从攸县走向世界

It began to go out of You County to the world.

补锅匠人练就了遇火不怕的胆识

铁水用的是白口生铁

The molten iron is made of white cast iron

燃料取自当地产的铁块碳

Fuel is from locally produced carbon

煨子（盛铁水的容器）和勺子必须用高岭土制作

Hazelnuts and spoons must be made of kaolin

徒手打铁水一个人就可以完成表演

It can be performed by one person

补锅匠一手舀铁水抛出，另一手徒手快速接住将铁水抛上天空

“星子灯”起源醴陵白兔潭镇田心村及东乡一带

是我国甚至全世界最古老最具特色的火龙舞之一

It is one of the oldest and most characteristic fire dragon dances in China and the world.

民间传说，当地痢疾流行，刘伯温发明治愈方法

According to Folklore, Liu Bowen invented a cure for local dysentery,

他将硝磺和树皮混杂在一起，用火点燃

He mixed the sulfur and the bark and lighted it with fire.

洒进脏地方消毒，每逢中秋进行

Dirty places were disinfected in every Mid-Autumn Festival

后来，人们举着硝磺和树皮制成的物品

People light fireworks made of sulfur and bark

点燃后，绽放出星花和火

for the custom.

几个人一边跑一边随心所欲地变化队形

Several men hold the firewire to run for the formation at will.

久而久之，由驱鬼、祛瘟、消魔逐渐演变成为星子灯

The activity gradually changes into a Starlight-lamp dance.

星子灯的道具叫“捻子”

The props are called "firewire"

用荷树皮、杉树皮烧成炭末和杉树木炭一起磨成粉

Charcoal powder made of pine bark, cedar bark

细筛过滤后，再用土硝掺和均匀

are filtered and mixed with nitrate

用土纸把二根粗香压在粉上卷成1.5厘米大小，封口晒干

Wrapped with paper to two-piece of incense and roll it into a firewire

一个“捻子”就制成了

A firewire is made.

星子灯有8个“头灯”

Starlight-lamp has 8  leading lamps

清吉灯、康泰灯、日灯、月灯、金灯、木灯、水灯、土灯

Qingji lamp, Kangtai lamp, day lamp, moon lamp, golden lamp, wooden lamp, water lamp, earth lamp

头灯后面是6个节子灯，共7个灯，所以又称“七星灯”

Behind the headlights, there are six lamps, so it is also called  7 starlight lamps

星子灯演员7人，全为男性

The dancers are all male.

舞灯时在每节灯上插上“捻子”

Each firewire is lighted during the dance.

舞动起来火花四溅，星光灿烂

Dancing and sparkling fireworks make the night more splendid.
