The 8th Hunan Conference of Returned Overseas Chinese to be held in Changsha

The 8th Hunan Provincial Conference of Returned Overseas Chinese and their relatives will be held in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province from Nov. 27 to 29. The meeting will review and summarize the work of the Hunan Federation of Overseas Chinese of the past year, with the plans and the tasks for the next five years, and to elect a new leadership of the federation.

It is an event for learning President Xi's ideas of socialism with Chinese characteristics, further implement the strategy of leading the rise by opening up and innovation.

The conference will be attended by 484 delegates and more than 140 overseas guests from nearly 50 countries and regions. Hunan Federation of Overseas Chinese and Human Resources and Social Security Department of Hunan Province will jointly honor the advanced individuals of returned overseas Chinese and relatives of overseas Chinese of Hunan Province.

In recent five years, returned overseas Chinese from Hunan and their relatives are the strong supporters of the reform and opening up with their patriotic and traditional township, and they are active participants, for promoting  Chinese culture and Hunan culture. They have made friendly exchanges with the rest of the world, for speeding up the construction of a happy, a new, a beautiful and a prosperous Hunan.
