Int’l Commercial and Legal Cooperation Forum Opens

　　The 2019 International Commercial and Legal Cooperation Forum with the theme of “Mutual Learning and Mutual Benefit” opened in Changsha on the morning of November 27. More than 1,000 representatives from Chinese and foreign government departments, business communities, and legal circles of 52 countries and regions attended.

　　The opening ceremony was attended by Shen Deyong, member of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Committee for Social and Legal Affairs of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC); Lu Pengqi, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT); Hu Xusheng, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; He Jian, chairman of the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council; Qiu Jixing, Changsha vice mayor; Peng Jiqiu, vice chairman of the CPPCC Changsha Municipal Committee and chairman of the Changsha Federation of Industry and Commerce; Xiao Wei, chairman of the CCPIT Changsha Branch; and, Edwin Tong , senior minister of state of the Ministry of Law and the Ministry of Health of Singapore.

　　The two-day forum will focus on such topics as the integration of commerce and law, the promotion of multilateral trade mechanisms for trade facilitation, and the optimization of investment and international business environment.

　　During the forum, a number of cooperation agreements on international commercial and legal services will be signed. China's annual Blue Book on Enterprise Compliance, the Legal Environments and Legal Risks of "Belt and Road" Countries and Regions, and the New Career Report for Compliance Management Professionals will be released. The unveiling ceremony of the China-Japan-Korea Business Exchange Center Changsha Branch of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) will be held.

　　In addition, the organizing committee will combine law discussion on commercial affairs into business events. Japan-, Latin America and North America-, and Africa-oriented business environment promotion and exchange meetings will be held.

　　The forum was hosted by the CCPIT; organized by the Changsha Municipal People’s Government and the CCPIT Commercial Legal Service Center; and, undertaken by the CCPIT Changsha Branch.
