On June 7, the paper-cutting art public cultural education activity of“The beauty of Xiang—folk arts and crafts in the Hunan Art Museum” held at the Hunan Art Museum, which invited families and children to experience the paper cutting with the inheritor of paper cutting intangible cultural heritage for knowing and learning traditional culture.

The theme of this public cultural education activity was paper cutting, and this activity held by using the form of art lessons and art salon. On the art lessons, the editor and reviewer of Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House, member of Hunan Literature and history research Museum, Zuo Hanzhong, by combining his own experience of editing books on paper cutting, made explanation of paper cutting arts from the comparison and fusion of Chinese Folk Paper Cutting and Huxiang Paper Cutting.

During the experiencing section of art salon, the inheritor of paper cutting intangible cultural heritage showed the paper cutting crafts, and taught some skills of paper-cutting. After learning the basic methods of paper cutting, parents and children made paper cuts together and created many interesting and cute works.
