Secretary Du Chairs Meeting on Promoting Information Technology Innovation

Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, chairs a multi-department meeting on information technology innovation projects.

On June 18, Du Jiahao, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, chaired a multi-department meeting on information technology innovation projects. He stressed maintaining the original orientation, bringing superiority into full play, and undertaking responsibilities, to promote Hunan’s information technology innovation and serve the country's major strategic needs. Rui Xiaowu, another convener of the meeting and also chairman of the China Electronic Corporation (CEC), delivered a speech.

Du spoke highly of the information technology innovation industrial chain development in recent years, especially after the multi-department meeting last year. President Xi Jinping called for maintaining a clear awareness of, and shouldering responsibilities in the issues of national significance. Information safety is such an issue. We should focus on a national perspective to enhance sense of urgency and conscientious. We should, based on Hunan’s industrial foundation and advantages, grasp the opportunities of the Central Government’s measures for expanding domestic demands and increasing of the issuance of local government bonds, to boost information technology innovation as an important part of stabilizing industrial and supply chains. We should shoulder responsibilities and take the initiative to contribute to serve the country's major strategic needs, and lay a solid foundation for the development of Hunan’s information technology innovation industry.
