Central China's Hunan slated to host food expo in Sept

CHANGSHA, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Hunan Province will host a food expo in September this year, according to local authorities.

The 2020 China International Food and Catering Expo is scheduled from September 18 to 20 in the provincial capital Changsha. The expo will be hosted together with the 8th China Ingredient E-commerce Festival, which was originally scheduled in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.

This year's food expo will feature seven exhibition areas, totaling 100,000 square meters. The organizers plan to invite at least 2,000 exhibitors, according to the provincial department of commerce.

More than 20 major activities will be organized during the event, including forums and competitions.

In order to ensure the safety of visitors and exhibitors, a dedicated team will be responsible for the prevention and control measures against COVID-19.

The first China International Food and Catering Expo was held in Changsha in 2016. Enditem
