Characteristic Seedlings Plantation Helps Increase Farmers' Income

On June 29, Huang Yunyang (1st R), a poorer household in Hexie Village, Zhongsha Town, Xiangxiang City, watered the oil-tea camellia seedlings in the Jingfeng Seedling Cooperative. In recent years, the cooperative has built more than 20 mu (1.3 ha.) of seedling bases; planted such seedlings as schima superba, oil-tea camellia, and wetland pine; and, hired more than 10 villagers, including 7 from poor households, whose average annual income has increased more than 7,000 yuan each.
