29 Changsha Food Producers Approved for Export Registration

Changsha Customs announced on July 13 that, Hunan has 29 food exporters passing the hygienic registration abroad. The major exported food include meat, aquatic products, and casing for sausages, which are mainly sold to EU, U.S.A., Russia, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Malaysia, and Singapore.

The hygienic registration abroad standard is set by the customs authority, based on the food production technical specifications and hygienic standard in foreign countries or regions, to examine domestic food exporters. Qualified food exporters will be recommended to register abroad, and their products will be exported to foreign countries and regions after passing Chinese national or regional approval. Therefore, the standard is a necessary “passport” for the enterprises’ access to foreign markets.

In recent years, Hunan’s featured agricultural products and food are increasingly popular around the world. Changsha Customs has leveraged its coordination advantages to promote and guide the food exporters to register abroad, so as to improve Hunan enterprises’ international competitiveness and facilitate food export. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, Changsha Customs launched online application service for food exporters, which streamlined the application processes, and facilitated the enterprises resuming normal production and promoting business to the world.
