The symposium for the 30th anniversary of the Overseas Chinese Law held

The symposium was held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Overseas Chinese Law.

On September 7, Hunan FOC held a symposium to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the promulgation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of The Rights and Interests of Returned Overseas Chinese and Their Relatives (hereinafter referred to as the Law). Huang Fang, secretary of the CPC of Hunan FOC, presided over the meeting and made a speech. More than 70 people attended the meeting, including Sun Minsheng and Li Zuyuan, party members and vice chairmen of the federation, all members of the Legal Advisory Committee of the federation, representatives of the Provincial Office of Justice Popularization, provincial authorities of the federation, municipal FOCs and overseas Chinese business and enterprises.

At the symposium, Sun Minsheng introduced the implementation of the "one law, two measures" by the Overseas Chinese Federation to protect the rights and interests of returned Overseas Chinese and their relatives. Xiao Shilin, the third Secretary-General of the Law Advisory Committee of the Overseas Chinese Federation of The Province and the fourth law Advisory Committee member, combined with the handling of overseas Chinese cases, gave a lecture with the theme of "fully grasping the legislative spirit of overseas Chinese law and effectively improving the consciousness of love and protection for overseas Chinese".

Representatives of overseas Chinese federations and overseas Chinese enterprises respectively Shared their own experience and practices in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese in accordance with the law, which provided useful reference for the better implementation of the Law on Overseas Chinese.

Huang pointed out that the enactment and implementation of the Law reflected the care and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of returned Overseas Chinese and their relatives by the Party and the government. We should continue to strengthen the publicity and study of the Law for overseas Chinese, further carry out publicity and implementation activities of the Law for overseas Chinese, and create a sound legal environment for respecting, loving and protecting overseas Chinese. All participants should focus on the purpose of serving overseas Chinese, give full play to the combined advantages of departments concerned for overseas Chinese, coordinate resources of all parties, form joint efforts, do a good job in protecting overseas Chinese in accordance with the law, earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese, and improve the efficiency of serving overseas Chinese.
