The 3rd Party Branch of Hunan FOC honored for fight against COVID-19

On November 30, in Changsha, Hunan Province held recognition conference forfight against COVID-19. According to the award decision, the Third Party Branch of Hunan FOC (The Party Branch of the Publicity and Liaison Office) was awarded the titles of both "Advanced Collective of Hunan Province in Combating COVID-19" and "Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization of Hunan".

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Hunan FOC has taken the initiative and responded positively. It has set up a leading group at the first time to mobilize overseas Chinese and their families, as well as overseas Chinese communities to for fundraising, donations and materials, to coordinate the procurement of materials in need of epidemic prevention and control, and contribute to winning the battle against the epidemic. The first batch of overseas Chinese donations arrived in Hunan on January 28, 2020. By early March, the provincial Federation system had mobilized 139 overseas Chinese associations from 42 countries to donate more than 17.52 million yuan and more than 42.9 million yuan of medical supplies to fight against the epidemic. By the end of May, Hunan FOC had donated more than 10 million yuan worth of anti-epidemic materials to overseas Chinese communities in more than 40 countries and regions, to support local anti-epidemic work effectively.

In the next stage, HunanFOC would continue to resolutely implement the decisions and arrangements of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee on epidemic prevention and control on a regular basis.There would not be careless or slack in epidemic prevention and control. With attention to Xi Jinping's important speech spirit in Hunan, combined with Xi Jinping's new orientation and new hope of Hunan, Hunan FOC would accurately grasp its work location in the structure of the united front work, adjust the working train of thought of federation of the next five years, complete what the overseas organizations can do, and do a good job to achieve the great rejuvenation of the nation.
