Annual meeting of the Special Expert Committee Hunan FOC was held.

On December 26, 2020 annual meeting of the special Expert Committee of Hunan Federation of Overseas Chinese (hereinafter referred to as "Expert Committee Hunan FOC") was held in Changsha. Huang Fang, secretary of the Party Group of Hunan FOC, attended and made a speech. Sun Minsheng and Li Zuyuan, members of the Party group and vice chairmen of Hunan FOC, and Mao Binghua, vice chairman (concurrently) of Hunan FOC and vice director of Expert Committee Hunan FOC, attended the meeting.

The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on his visit to Hunan province, and the spirit of the 2020 Annual meeting of the Special Experts Committee of China Federation of Overseas Chinese. Cao Ya, director of the Expert Committee Hunan FOC, delivered the work report of the Expert Committee Hunan FOC in 2020.

Huang Fang fully affirmed the contributions made by the Expert Committee Hunan FOC in epidemic prevention and control, poverty alleviation and the work of News of Overseas Chinese, and briefed all the members on the work achievements made by the Federation since this year. Huang fang expressed the hope that the Committee would continue to support the work of the Federation, actively participate in the activities carried out by the Federation, and study and make arrangements for the work of the Expert Committee in the next five years based on the 14th five-year Plan on how to fully implement the Party's policy on overseas Chinese affairs, unite the hearts of overseas Chinese and serve the overall situation. All committee members should strengthen the study of political theory, closely combine personal development with national development and hometown development, and carry out work in economy, science and technology, culture and other aspects in an all-round and wide field. She hoped that all expert members would give full play to their advantages and influence, tell China stories and Hunan stories well, and assist Hunan FOC in attracting talents and investment. At the same time, the federation should make full use of the platform of "News of Overseas Chinese" to observe the situation of overseas Chinese, collect wisdom of overseas Chinese, make voices heard of overseas Chinese and offer policies for overseas Chinese, so as to contribute the wisdom and strength of overseas Chinese community to Hunan's "three high schools and four new" strategy.

In addition, Wang Shuangyin, Bei Bing, Liu Min, Xu Changlong, Yang Xiaoping, Zou Runmin, Zhu Qiao, Qi Zhiyong, Peng Jun and Tan Jingqiang were appointed as members of the second session of Hunan Overseas Chinese Federation Expert Committee from December 2020 to January 2022.

During the meeting, experts from Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce provided knowledge guidance to all members of China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Tan Jingqiang, Dean of the Department of Geological Resources, Central South University, shared the achievements of innovation and entrepreneurship. At the symposium held in the afternoon, the participants combined their personal reality and had in-depth discussions and exchanges on further strengthening the construction of the Special Committee of the Provincial Federation of Overseas Chinese, making better use of the role of the Expert Committee of Hunan FOC, and giving advice and suggestions on the 14th five-year Plan.
