Secretary Xu Joins Discussions with Yongzhou Delegation

On the afternoon of January 25, Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, reviews the government work report, and drafts of the 14th five-Year development plan and the long-range goals for 2035 with deputies from Yongzhou delegation at the fourth session of the 13^thHunan Provincial People’s Congress.

On the afternoon of January 25, Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, reviewed the government work report, and drafts of the 14th five-Year development plan and the long-range goals for 2035 with deputies from Yongzhou delegation at the fourth session of the 13^thHunan Provincial People’s Congress.

Xu stressed we should take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the fundamental rule to carry out the “three highlands and four new missions” strategy. Efforts should be made in the following aspects:

--Continue to take development as the top priority;

--Foster industries to support the real economy;

--Further deepen reform and opening up;

--Give priority to employment, agriculture and rural areas, ecological conservation, education, and economic benefits;

--Coordinate development and security; and,

--Contribute more to building a modern new Hunan.

Deputies agreed that the government work report is objective and comprehensive, and has practical and feasible goals and clear work priorities. It is inspiring and strengthens confidence and solidarity. Deputy representatives put forward opinions and suggestions on the development of rural collective economy, red cultural tourism, agricultural modernization; primary medical service improvements, and, the balanced development of compulsory education in urban and rural areas.

Xu Dazhe voiced his complete support for the government work report. He said Hunan has made historic achievements in economic and social development over the past five years. Hunan created extraordinary results in the past year. Various work in Yongzhou are undergoing smoothly, with a good development momentum.
