A P750 airplane of the Express Airline took off from Zhuzhou Lusong Airport at 9:30 am on February 23, and arrived at Shaoyang Wugang Airport after 90 minutes. A while later, it took off again towards Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport.

This is a new tourism route after the Zhuzhou-Zhangjiajie low-altitude air travel route that opened last year. It will greatly shorten the travel time for a Zhuzhou-Wugang-Zhangjiajie trip, and enable passengers to enjoy a bird’s-eye view at low altitude, said Wang Kuiguang, president of the Express Airline.

The route is now in a trial operation. Eight passengers can charter an airplane with a cost of 3,000 CNY for a one-way journey. Flight operation may be affected by weather and other factors. Passengers are required to arrive at the airport 50 minutes ahead of the flight departure, and go through related procedures according to check-in instructions.

Low-altitude flight tourism is a supplement to the business of major, regional, and general aviation airports. It helps promote a new pattern of tourism, focusing on inter-city tourism and supported by transport business. In 2021, the Express Airline will operate 14 flight routes connecting 7 destinations. A “one-hour airspace commuting circle” is taking shape.
