Overseas Chinese cloud-reunion in Chinese New Year culture

During the Spring Festival, Hunan Federation of returned overseas Chinese, Hunan youth federation and Hunan international channel jointly plan "Sense of Chinese New Year"theme activities, invited global overseas Chinese to participate in a short video recording. The activity aimed on recalling overseas Chinese's memory of country and family, to deepen the recognition of the new generation of overseas Chinese.

Within a week, overseas Chinese from more than 30 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the Philippines, Egypt and so on participated in the short video recording. Among them, the employees of Sany Heavy Industry in Russia and the project department of Indonesia's Jakar-Tawan high-speed railway project of Sinohydro 8 Bureau, who were awarded as "the most beautiful youth of Hunan Silk Road in 2020", all provided touching pictures of reunion with their families during the local Spring Festival.Up to now, more than 40 short videos of "Sense of Chinese New Year" have been produced.From the eve of the Chinese New Year to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, Hunan international channel broadcast short videos several times in different time segments, which directly spread to 230 countries and regions around the world, covering nearly 40 million users.

This activity has released 12 series by WeChat, 7 official posters, 15 Chinese New Year greetings video series in high quality. Hunan Youth federation, the international channel official weibo and overseas Chinese personal social account issued 40 overseas Chinese New Year greeting videos. Among them, the topic of "Sense of Chinese New Year" hosted by the official weibo broke 30 million, the reading volume of relevant information broke 8 million, and the play volume of related sense of ceremony video broke 100,000 +.
