A gala commemorating the “March 8” International Women’s Day was recorded in Changsha on the afternoon of March 3, 2021. Themed “Centenary of Hunan Women’s Dream”, the event was organized by the Hunan Provincial Women’s Federation. Wu Lan, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary; Zhou Nong, Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee deputy director and Hunan Federation of Trade Unions president; Zhu Zhongming, Hunan vice governor; and, Li Min, CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee vice chairman, attended.

The party was to solemnly commemorate the 111th anniversary of the International Women’s Day on March 8; fully demonstrate the tremendous changes in the status of Chinese women under the leadership of the Communist Party of China over the past century, the great progress of women’s cause, and important contributions and achievements made by Hunan women in various fields; and, to further encourage and lead the vast number of women in Hunan Province to embark on a new journey of chasing dreams and making achievements in the new era.

The gala will be broadcast on the Hunan Broadcasting System Public Channel on the evening of March 8, and will be streamed at the Mango TV online platform.
