Publicity group lectured (party history) in Hunan FOC

On April 12, the party history learning and education publicity group of CPC Hunan committee lectured in Hunan Federation of overseas Chinese. Zhang Guozuo, chief expert of Marxism theory research and construction project of the Central Committee, honorary dean of Marxism College of Hunan University and director of Chinese Culture Soft Power Research Center, delivered a speech. Huang Fang, Party Group Secretary of Hunan FOC presided over the meeting. Li Zuyuan, Party Group member and vice chairman of Hunan FOC attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Zhang Guozuo introduced the historical background and historical significance of the founding of the Communist Party of China by reviewing major historical events such as the Westernization Movement, the Reform Movement of 1898, the Revolution of 1911 and the New Culture Movement, and explained "why the Communist Party of China can", "why Marxism can do" and "why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good". He pointed out that the greatness of the Communist Party of China does not lie in never making mistakes, but in being good at drawing strength from lessons, having the courage to carry out self-revolution and having a strong ability to repair itself. This requires every Communist Party member to be firm in his ideals and convictions, to stay true to his original mission, to turn his academic achievements into driving force in his work, to show his loyalty to the Party by taking the initiative to act, and to truly understand and enhance his credibility by studying history, and to study history in virtue and practice history.

"We should draw historical nourishment from the history of the Party, stay true to our original aspiration and maintain confidence, be good at feeling the strength of forging ahead in the history of the Party, and constantly push forward the cause of the Federation of Overseas Chinese in the new era." Jiang Tao, Office Deputy Director of Hunan FOC, said.

"With the rapid development of the country, the superiority of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics has become increasingly prominent, and I am proud of the achievements of the country's development." Cai Bo, the first-level chief staff member of the Party Committee (Human Affairs Department), said that he would further strengthen the study of Party history, political theory and professional study, care about the affairs of overseas Chinese and national affairs, guide the work with the theoretical knowledge of overseas Chinese affairs, and make his own contribution to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

All cadres and staff of Hunan FOC, cadres of Changsha FOC and representatives of overseas Chinese communities attended the meeting.
