Students Start Geological Study Tours on World Earth Day

The photos, taken on April 22, show pupils visiting the World Geopark Museum in Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie. The 52^ndWorld Earth Day fell on that day. Taking Zhangjiajie’s distinctive landforms as examples, Wulingyuan District launched a series of geological study tours for primary and middle school students. On-the-spot lectures and visits were organized to enable the students to gain knowledge about geology and wild flora and fauna protection, and raise their awareness of cherishing natural resources and protecting the world.
