Intelligent Construction and Equipment Development Summit Held in Changsha

On April 24, the Intelligent Construction and Equipment Development Summit convened in Changsha. It is the 328th Session of the China Engineering Science and Technology Forum. Before the opening ceremony, Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee director, met with He Huawu, Chinese Academy of Engineering vice president, and other guests and representatives attending the forum.

The Intelligent Construction and Equipment Development Summit kicked off in Changsha on April 24, 2021. More than 300 academicians and experts gathered together to discuss the development of intelligent construction and equipment. They made suggestions on implementing the innovation-oriented development strategy and building China into a strong transportation and manufacturing powerhouse. Before the opening ceremony, Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee director, met with He Huawu, Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) vice president, and other guests and representatives attending the forum.

He Huawu, CAE vice president, and Wang Jianping, CPC China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) Committee secretary and chairman of the board, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Provincial leaders Zhang Jianfei, Wu Guiying, and Chen Fei attended.

The forum, themed “Intelligent Construction and Equipment Development”, was sponsored by CAE and jointly organized by the CAE Engineering Management Department, CRCC, China Railway 14th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., and Hunan University of Technology and Business. Academicians Ding Lieyun, Li Peigen, Lu Chunfang, Yang Huayong, Liu Feixiang, Zhou Changjin and other experts gave keynote speeches on intelligent shield construction, digital twin technology, engineering construction mechanization and intelligence, and intelligent shield equipment. The participants also conducted visits and inspection tours, made consultations, and held discussions.
