2021 Hunan Outstanding Overseas Chinese Youth Awarded

In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 102nd anniversary of the "May 4th" Patriotic Youth Movement, this morning, the "May 4th" 2021 Hunan Outstanding Overseas Chinese Youth Award Ceremony with the theme of "Hunan Overseas Chinese Outstanding Youth Braving the Waves" was held at the Rednet Broadcasting Center. Huang Fang, secretary of Hunan FOC party group, Fu Jungen, deputy secretary of provincial party committee united front work department and director of Hunan overseas Chinese affairs office, Liu Wen, deputy secretary of Hunan committee of the communist youth league, Shu Bin, Hunan publishing group party committee member, director, party secretary and chairman of Hunan Rednet (new media group, provincial federation of party members, vice chairman Sun Minsheng, Li Zuyuan, province part-time vice chairman of the federation, attended the activity.

This activity was jointly guided by Hunan Federation of Overseas Chinese and Hunan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Youth League, hosted by Youth Committee of Hunan FOC and supported by Hunan Rednet New Media Group. Since 2016, the "May 4th" Hunan Outstanding Overseas Chinese Youth Selection Activity has been successfully held for six times.

The selection activity was launched in March. After recommendation, qualification examination, organization investigation and comprehensive evaluation, 24 people including Ye Feng were selected as the "May 4th" 2021 Outstanding Youth in Hunan Overseas Chinese communities, and 6 people including Wen Jin were nominated as the "May 4th" 2021 outstanding Youth in Hunan Overseas Chinese communities. The list of winners was read out and the award was presented.

On behalf of the Hunan Federation of Overseas Chinese, Huang Fang extended warm congratulations to the outstanding young people in overseas Chinese circles and the nominees, and extended festive greetings to the young friends in overseas Chinese circles. She hopes that the majority of overseas Chinese youth will have firm faith and be an ideal overseas Chinese youth. Liu Wen pointed out that the young people in the overseas Chinese community are the most energetic and creative group, full of vitality, dream and enterprising spirit, and they are the new force in the overseas Chinese community. For a long time, the vast majority of overseas Chinese and overseas young people in Hunan have always been attached to their homeland and repaid Sangzi, making important contributions to Hunan's reform, opening-up and modernization.
