The 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is held in Shanghai between November 5 and 10, 2021. At the intangible cultural heritage area, the Hunan Yuhua District Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall presents hundreds of handicraft works to showcase folk crafts and history of Huxiang Culture.

At the exhibition area of the hall, there are four special zones, respectively displaying “Yuhua-mode” of intangible cultural heritage protection; intangible cultural heritage specialties, such as Hunan’s tea, porcelain, embroidery, and souvenirs; intangible cultural and creative products; and, intangible cultural performances. Some intangible cultural heritage representative items with local characteristics are showcased, including Jiangyong Nvshu (women’s script), Baoqing porcelain carving, and Hunan embroidery.

The Yuhua District Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall participates in the expo to promote cultural products, increase the influence of Hunan’s intangible cultural heritage brands, and show the distinctive handicrafts featuring both traditional Huxiang culture and modern elements to the world. Meanwhile, it will facilitate international purchase of intangible cultural heritage products, and investment and cooperation in related industries. Online and offline channels will be explored to raise the profile of Hunan’s “traditional cultural brands” around the world.
