China InteRail Expo to open in Zhuzhou

The 2021 China International Rail Transit and Equipment Manufacturing Industry Exposition (China InteRail Expo) will be held in Zhuzhou between December 8 and 11, announced at a press conference of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government Information Office on November 30.

The expo, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, is the only national-level international professional exposition in this industry. It is held every two years. The theme of this session is “Smart Rail Connecting the Future".

Both online and offline forms will be adopted. The offline exhibition will be held at the Zhuzhou Rail Transit Exposition Park (also the Zhuzhou Automobile Trading Center). There will be a main themed pavilion, an innovative enterprise and personnel pavilion, and an international pavilion. The United Arab Emirates as a guest country of honor, and Shanxi Province as a province of honor will operate their pavilions separately. The exhibition area will total 60,000 square meters.

The online exhibition will operate on the CCPIT Exhibition Cloud Platform and the Enterprise Hunan Network (EHN) platform. It will be built into an online platform for exhibition, meeting, and negotiation, to enable Chinese and foreign enterprises to participate in exhibitions, seek partners, and promote their brands.

The expo will have various activities:

One main event – opening ceremony and also the World Rail Transit Xiangjiang Forum;

Six themed activities including a China-USA Rail Transit International Cooperation Roundtable Forum, and Hunan Rail Transit Industry and Project Promotion Meeting; and,

Ten marketing activities including a permanent magnet equipment technology and market application forum, and a forum on promoting rail transit industrial transformation and development based on digital technology.

Six academicians, 19 prestigious experts, and a number of influential entrepreneurs will discuss development trend and innovative development of rail transit industry.

The expo will announce 70 rail transit and equipment manufacturing projects for investment, with a total investment of 121.63 billion yuan. Among these projects, 37 are at provincial level, with an investment of 94.53 billion yuan. Twenty-three projects will be contracted at the expo, including two strategic cooperation agreements, with a total investment of 10.718 billion yuan.

The number of participating enterprises for the online and offline exhibitions is estimated to exceed 800, while more than 60,000 visits will be made. A number of new products, technologies, and achievements will be presented at the expo. The participators will also include officials from foreign embassies and consulates of 16 foreign countries to China, such as U.S.A and Germany; representatives of trade associations; and, 29 worldly famous enterprises, such as 3M, Caterpillar, and Westinghouse.
