Migratory cygnets overwinter in Dongting Lake

In early winter, almost three thousand cygnets flew from Magnolia and Serbia to Dongting Lake in Yueyang. Flocks of cygnets forage for food and play around the lake. This scene is quite spectacular.

Cygnet is a protected specie in China. They are very cautious and active without presence of human. They choose Dongting Lake to overwinter because in this lake, not only few people are active, but also food resources, such as lotus root, are abundant.
