The 23rd China High-Tech Fair (CHTF) was held in Shenzhen on December 28, 2021. Changsha won the title of “2021 China’s Leading Smart City” for its fruitful results in the field of smart city construction at the 2021 Asia-Pacific Smart City Development Forum. It was co-sponsored by the State Information Center and the International Data Group Asian Branch (IDG Asia).

In recent years, Changsha has actively seized the strategic opportunities in the digital era, upgraded the new type smart city construction to an urban development strategy, and accelerated the building of a “new type smart city model”, and achieved initial results. Not long ago, Changsha officially launched the “Changsha City Super Brain 1.0” and released a list of 187 smart central capabilities to the city, which connected 356 information systems of government departments in the city, and aggregated the total data of more than 13.7 billion involving various fields. It was learned that CHTF is a national and international large-scale science and technology exhibition approved by the State Council. It is an important window for China's high-tech sector to open up to the world. It is known as the “China's No. 1 Science and Technology Exhibition”. Among them, the Asia-Pacific Smart City Selection is one of the most influential celebration for smart city industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
