Ecological Zoo's first artificially-bred South China tiger cub grows up
under the meticulous care of its keepers. It made its debut on January
20. The
South China Tiger, also known as the “Chinese Tiger”, is a unique
sub-species of tiger that only lives in China. It has vanished in the
wild, and is listed as one of the world's ten most endangered species. The
Changsha Ecological Zoo is an important place for protecting animals
and breeding rare and endangered species. As the Chinese Year of the
Tiger nears, the zoo bred tiger cubs through artificial breeding. To
date, it has bred eight South China tigers since its opening 10 years
ago. Translator: Kuang Zhenzhen
