From
January 25 to February 6, the charging capacity of new energy vehicles
and the number of charged vehicles within the jurisdiction of the State
Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited hit record high, according to
the company on February 8. The province’s charging capacity under state
grid was 7.8099 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 130.33%, and the
number of charging demands reached 289,900. Among them, the charging
capacity of highway charging stations was 427,700 kWh, a year-on-year
increase of 81.11%. Hunan
is located at the junction of the State Grid and the China Southern
Power Grid, and a relative high traffic pressure is imposed on the
province’s highways. In order to ensure the smooth traffic flow of new
energy vehicles, State Grid Hunan Electric Power provides warm-hearted
services at various highway service areas. Twenty charging piles in
Zhaoshan Service Area were all utilized. The emergency charging
warehouse fulfilled 1631 charging demands for vehicles in Leiyang
Service Area from January 26 to February 6, with an average daily of 140
charging demands and a single-day maximum of 215 charging demands.
Emergency rescue vehicles in Suxian Service Area fulfilled 300 charging
demands of new energy vehicles per day on average. No technical
malfunction of highway charging piles have been reported in the
