Dong people celebrate “Yuediwa” Festival

On February 24, Dong people performed Dong dance at the “Yuediwa” Festival at Shangyan Village, Dupo Town, Tongdao Dong Autonomous County. The “Yuediwa” Festival is the “Valentine's Day” for the Dong ethnic group.

Shangyan Village is located at the border of Hunan, Guangxi, and Guizhou. It is one of the regions with well-preserved and primitive Dong culture in China. In recent years, the village has actively explored cultural tourism integration by holding festivals such as “Yuediwa”, “Liuyueliu”, Bukuan cultural festival, so as to boost rural tourism development.

On February 24, Dong people performed Duoye dance at the “Yuediwa” Festival at Shangyan Village, Dupo Town, Tongdao Dong Autonomous County.
