Changsha meteorological science popularization museum Inaugurated

The Changsha Meteorological Science Popularization Museum was officially inaugurated on March 23, 2022 on the occasion of the 62nd World Meteorological Day. It is Hunan Province’s first museum dedicated to meteorological science popularization, and an integral part of Changsha’s urban disaster prevention and mitigation project.

The museum uses modern scientific and technological means to set up 23 featured exhibition areas including the Earth area, a weather early warning corridor and a star corridor. This has made the museum scientific, interesting and practical.

The museum is located at the southeast corner of the Changsha National Comprehensive Observational and Experimental Base in Lianhua Town, Yuelu District, Changsha.

The museum does not accept public reservations during the epidemic period, but will be open to the public for free in an orderly manner after the epidemic. The opening time will be from 9:30 to 16:30 every Thursday. Visitors will need to make an reservation via the “Changsha Meteorology” WeChat official account.
