Changsha Maglev Express Line to temporarily suspend operations

The Changsha Maglev Express Line will temporarily suspend operations from May 5 to June 30, 2022, to cooperate with the construction of the line’s east extension line project, according to the Changsha Metro Group Co., Ltd. on April 27.

This decision has been approved by the Changsha Municipal People’s Government. It is made to ensure safe construction and operation of trains as new rail turnouts will be added to connect the east extension line with the Changsha Huanghua International Airport Terminal 3.

During the suspension period, passengers who need to shuttle between the Changsha South Railway Station and the Changsha Huanghua International Airport can take an airport bus at the east square of the high-speed railway station’s Maglev City Terminal and the airport’s Terminals 1 and 2. The operation hours are from 8:00 to 22:30. The airport bus does not stop at the maglev line’s Langli Station. Passengers who need to shuttle between the high-speed railway station and Langli Station can take Bus No. X220.

During the suspension period, the Maglev City Terminal will handle baggage check-in procedures normally, and baggage will be transported by the airport’s special trucks.
