Farmers busy transporting rice seedlings in Shuangfeng county

The photo, taken on May 3, shows villagers transporting rice seedlings at a plantation base in Hongshandian Town, Shuangfeng County. This year the county has taken measures to scale up rice production in a professional and centralized manner, so as to ensure the expansion of grain production and the increase of farmers’ income. So far more than 395,000 mu (26,333 ha.) of early-season rice in the county has entered transplanting season. Local farmers are busy with farm work in the fields.
