10th global forum for Hunan entrepreneurs yields fruitful results

The 10th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs opened in Zhuzhou on May 23. The forum yielded fruitful results, with 151 provincial projects worth 121.97 billion yuan signed. A total of 21 key projects were inked on site, with an investment of 45.45 billion yuan.

The 151 provincial projects focused on Hunan-based and manufacturing industry-related ones, and highlighted opening-up and attracting large and strong ones.

Of the total, 148 projects worth 112.97 billion yuan were associated with Hunan entrepreneurs. Li Weiguo, chairman of the Beijing Hunan Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, plans to invest in and build Oriental Yuhong Hunan Regional Headquarters in Yuelu District, Changsha.

A total of 110 high-end, intelligent, and green manufacturing projects, with an investment of 71 billion yuan, were contracted at the forum. Xuzhou Space Interplanetary Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. will invest 1.5 billion yuan in setting up a satellite operation company in Zhuzhou.

Eight foreign-invested projects, with an investment of more than 4 billion yuan, were signed. Schaeffler Group, a leading global supplier to the automotive and industrial sectors, will build its second R&D center operated by Schaeffler Greater China in Xiangjiang New Area.

Among the provincial projects signed, 26 projects worth more than 44 billion yuan will be invested by Fortune Global 500 companies, top 500 Chinese enterprises, and China’s top 500 private enterprises. Thirteen projects will be funded by Fortune Global 500 companies, nine by top 500 Chinese enterprises, and four by China’s top 500 private enterprises. There is one 10-billioon-yuan project and six projects each with an investment of more than 5 billion yuan.
