The Changsha Center for Disease Control and Prevention released the latest health management measures on people traveling or returning to Changsha on July 6. The move aims to consolidate outcomes achieved through Changsha's effective COVID-19 response, implement the strategy of preventing inbound cases, and safeguard people's lives and health.

All those traveling or returning to Changsha are required to report two days in advance via "My Changsha" APP and "My Changsha" mini-program, or report to the community (village), company, or hotel located in the destination by phone call or by family members, friends, or colleagues.

The health management measures are as follows:

1. Inbound personnel (including those from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) are required to undertake a medical observation in isolation at designated sites for seven days plus three days of in-home health monitoring, and take nucleic acid test on the first, second, third, fifth, and seventh day of concentrated medical observation and on the third day of home quarantine.

2. Those who want to travel or return to Changsha and have been in high risk areas within the past seven days are required to be under seven days of medical observation in isolation at designated sites and to take nucleic acid test on the first, second, third, fifth, and seventh day.

3. Those who want to travel or return to Changsha and have been in middle risk areas within the past seven days are required to be under seven days of health monitoring at home and to take nucleic acid test on the first, fourth, and seventh day. Those who do not have suitable conditions for home observation must take a concentrated medical observation.

4. Those who want to travel or return to Changsha and have been in low risk areas within the past seven days must take two nucleic acid tests in three days (sampling interval ≥ 24 hours) and take self-health monitoring.

5. Those who are from port cities and cities (autonomous prefectures and leagues) with local confirmed cases must provide negative testing results within 48 hours when entering Changsha.

6. According to the principal of "making nucleic acid testing available for those who ask to be tested", those who are from provinces outside of Hunan should take nucleic acid tests as soon as possible.
