The Research Center of Intelligent Equipment Industry, CCID Consulting recently released a list of China's top 100 advanced manufacturing industrial parks in 2022. Three industrial parks in Changsha, namely Changsha High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, made the list, ranking 15th, 30th and 70th respectively. Among them, the Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone moved up 16 places compared with last year.

In accordance with the advanced manufacturing classification standards of the National Bureau of Statistics, the list was compiled based on an in-depth follow-up study of 230 national economic development zones and 168 national high-tech zones. It is an important reference for assessing advanced manufacturing industrial parks in various regions.

The Ningxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone has been included in the top 100 advanced manufacturing industrial parks for three consecutive years. In 2021, the income earned by scientific research institutions in the zone in scientific research, production and operation, technology transfer, technical consultation, technical services, technical training and trade activities totaled 106.5 billion yuan, up 15% year on year. The zone's total industrial output value rose 6.6% year on year to 75.3 billion yuan. The added value of industries above designated size amounted to 18.4 billion yuan, increasing by 10.8% year on year.

Beginning this year, the zone has been striving to implement the Strategy of "Strengthening the Provincial Capital". It has launched five special actions -- the building of a strong zone in manufacturing, innovation-oriented development, openness and integration, factors guarantee, and green and low-carbon development. It will strive to enter the "national top 50" by 2026.
